Colour
& Contradiction

2016

“…I had the idea of faceting metal as well as stones. This idea came from Cut-Steel jewellery of the late 18th and 19th century... This jewellery is constructed out of hundreds of faceted steel nail heads, assembled together to mimic little sparkling diamonds or gemstones.”
-CORA SHEIBANI

‘I liked the idea that usually you would facet the gemstone but here the metal was faceted rather than the clear gemstone.’.
Each piece of jewellery in ‘Colour & Contradiction’ is made in a unique colour combination.
